Eliza has been obsessed with food since saying her first word: "spaghetti."
With over a decade in the culinary industry, holding roles such as Head Chef at a pop up wine bar in Berlin’s KW Contemporary Art Institute, where she created small plates inspired by the natural wines of the week; Sous Chef leading evening small plates service at Rocket + Basil in Berlin; Bakery Director at Amara Kitchen in Los Angeles, and Companion Coffee in Berlin, where she developed original, gluten-free recipes and managed bakery operations. Her latest endeavor, oooey studios, co-founded in October 2023 with her sister Chloe, focuses on hyper-seasonal, local, and homegrown produce in Los Angeles.
Eliza’s passion for food extends beyond the plate, with a food styling and photography portfolio including work for Bon Appétit Magazine, Epicurious, Door Dash, and Marley Spoon, translating the vibrancy of food into compelling visuals.
Working around the world, from Chicago to New York to Berlin, Eliza is thrilled to have found a true home in Los Angeles, happily overwhelmed by year-round fruit and flowers. Whether it’s cooking dinner for a room full of clients, showing a colleague a new restaurant, or introducing a friend to a new expensive-but-worth-it chocolate bar, she finds unending fulfillment in guiding the people around her through an expanded experience of flavor.
